HISTORIC BOAT INDRY DOCK

It is great to see the progress that Phil Jones and the team are making with the restoration of our historic boats. Thanks to David Ray and his guys, nb BAINTON has been in Norbury Wharf Ltd’s Dry Dock this week and has had her hull inspected and minor repairs carried out; she has been black bottomed with 2 of 3 coats of paint so far; she has had new sacrificial anodes fitted and has had her gunwales painted with red oxide. It was good for myself and Steve Heise to lend a hand today for a few hours to help Phil and William Jones towards finishing the dry dock work.

Phil Jones adding a coat of black bottom paint
Steve using a beer crate to reach the top of the boat with black bottom paint
William finishing the undercoat ready for gloss tomorrow
