Rubber Seal at NE end. 1978. This was needed to retain a seal as the aqueduct expanded and contracted.
Source was from Arthur Osbourn, March 2012 from his home at Applecroft, Eaton Constantine.
Arthur was with the 2nd Wellington Scout Group and he reckons the photo was from c 1947. The trip was from Norbury Junction towards Shrewsbury.
