CAN YOU HELP?

CAN YOU HELP?

We need volunteers for our Canal Exhibition at the Dye House, Shrewsbury Flaxmill. Can you spare a day or a few hours (see poster for opening dates/times), FREE parking for volunteers.

We are trying to make it easier for volunteers, the exhibition is self-explanatory and we hope to have QR codes so visitors can access more information.

We will also have some small tablets loaded up with information, photos and other things that visitors might ask.

Our Events Director, Phil, will be there every day, so he can help if volunteers need any assistance, he will be demonstrating ropework. We will also have a narrow boat simulator and bridge-building kit for children.

There will be a book where volunteers can note down any questions they can’t answer and we will respond later.

There will be our usual SNCT brochures and application forms and we will also have a card machine to take membership payments and donations.

It will be amazing but we can’t let Phil do it all on his own! Please consider helping out, it will be a great opportunity to learn more about the history and importance of the canals.

Anybody who wants to volunteer can contact Phil on 07484 675364 or ptarrant@sncanal.org.uk
