This photograph shows the remains of one of the original bridges over the Shropshire High Level canal system that once existed in this area. The lane passing over the bridge was called Teagues Bridge Lane, but is now a motor road.

Old iron foundry near Trench Lock, ShropshireThis large works had already closed when the photograph was taken in 1963. It had a rail connection, via level crossing across the A518, to the ex-LNWR Wellington- Stafford line.

‘Shropshire Arms’ and Trench Inclined Plane This was taken in 1967; the cottages have now been demolished and the site cleared. Today in 2007 a dual carriageway occupies the site.
