TICKETHOUSE GARDEN DAY

There will be an Open Garden next Sunday 4th September from 10 am till 4 pm at Tickethouse Lock House TF10 7PW, next to the canal in Newport.

Come along for coffee and cake and a sociable chat about what is happening at the canal trust and our future plans for the canal in Newport. We will have a display on the restoration of the canal and plenty of our volunteers around to explain what we want to do next and how we will achieve it. There may also be opportunities to take a look around the Lock House which has been sympathetically restored but incorporates modern approaches to heating and insulation. The project was a finalist in the 2020 West Midlands Finals of the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Regional Building Excellence Awards.

There is VERY restricted parking at the Lock House, so it’s best to park at the Black Shed car park in Newport TF10 7LD and walk 400m along the towpath towards Edgmond.
