CONCRETE POUR PLANNED FOR 26TH JUNE CANCELLED.

The concrete pour planned for Saturday 26th June unfortunately cannot now go ahead. This is because of the cement shortage and our supplier, PEZ Concreting, simply can’t get what is required to do the job. There will be plenty of other work to do though! We need to prepare the ground under the Transhipment Warehouse and get it levelled and do the same from the skew bridge into the basin. We can “adjust” the spoil that remains to expose more of the basin base. Then there is the formwork to remove and replace to finish the top of the retaining wall; the brickwork to start for the outer skin of the toilet block; the owl entry to cut in the west gable end of the Transhipment Warehouse; exposure of the remaining polythene liner behind the retaining wall, and other jobs too. So, please book in with Phil Jones as usual.
