YES YOU REALLY CAN MAKE MONEY FOR NOTHING
IN THE SEASON OF GOODWILL TO ALL SCROOGE WOULD HATE THIS
Are you waiting for Black Friday or have you already started buying?
You can’t go to the stores this year so I guess you’ll be buying online like most of us.
Here is how the FREE money comes in. You buy your goods as normal and the supplier pays us a percentage of what you spent! It’s that simple. It didn’t cost you a penny extra and without really trying you’ve helped increase the Trusts funds to carry on with all the work our amazing volunteers are doing. So how I hear you asking? (at least I think that’s what I heard, my hearing aids on the blink!).
There are simple ways from of 3 websites:
1, Amazonsmile.co.uk: yes it is the normal amazon just a page set up for charities. Go to their webpage and search for Shrewsbury and Newport Canals Trust, select us a your chosen charity and do your shopping. usually anything between 0.5 and 0.75% will follow on to the trust once our items have been delivered. You might be interested to know that Amazon smile has already made £86.87 for the trust
2, Easyfundraising: much the same, go to their website and choose the trust as your chosen charity. Then you can select from over 4300 retailers to buy from. You can buy your insurances, sign up for Sky or Virgin or change your broadband supplier or buy just about anything you can buy on the high Street. Sadly no supermarket shopping here though. www.easyfundraising.org.uk has already raised £2624.66
3, Give As You Live: Just the same go to their webpage, choose us and have over 4300 retailers to buy from. This one is slightly different as you can actually buy cards to shop at your supermarket online or instore get paid up to 4%. www.giveasyoulive.com has already raised £2287.01
Lastly today there is another way for you to support the Trust and perhaps yourself to the tune of £25,000. The Twincl lottery is a run for the benefit of good causes and for £1 gives you the chance to win up to £25,000. Of your £1 spend: 50p comes to the trust, 10p is saved out for an annual payment and 40p pays for the insurance that pays out the winnings and for the staff that run it. www.twincl.co.uk has already paid £7074 to the trust.
In this year that has been so difficult for all of us and left the Trust short of the funds we may have raised through the canal festival and many fetes etc. I hope that you will consider one or more of these ways to help us into the future. The future is looking very promising for the trust with so much so close to fruition. Let us all make sure that all that promise is not lost.
