Author Peter Brown has launched his book after 15 years of research. ‘The Shropshire Union Canal’ is the latest book published by the Railway & Canal Historical Society. It’s an economic and social history of the canal company, its predecessors and successors, including what we now call the Llangollen, Montgomery and Shrewsbury & Newport Canals as well as the Main Line and Middlewich Branch.
