VERY HOT WORK!
Last Saturday the Wappenshall Team, aided by colleagues from the Shrewsbury Team, did a fantastic job to pour another 6 concrete slabs into Wappenshall’s East Basin in temperatures of over 30C! It was hard work to just stand stand still, never mind heaving tons of wet concrete around, then vibrating it with a concreting poker to remove air bubbles and finally tamping it down with a heavy wooden 2-man tamper. Everyone went home wringing wet with sweat! Great progress made in challenging conditions.
